Pregnancy And Back Pain: Causes That Lead To Changes

Being pregnant is one of the most memorable and completing experience most of the women undergo to and of course, knowing that you are pregnant significantly brings you insurmountable joy that you could not explain. But on top of that, there are also series of body changes that a pregnant woman undergoes to and I mean, real major body changes that sometimes cause back pain during pregnancy.

Here are some of the reasons why pregnant women experience back pain during the time that they should be most joyous and blooming with love. Also, here are some things you could do to prevent back pain when you are pregnant before it is too late.

Your Body Changes

Of course, when you are pregnant, it is automatic that your body would undergo many changes and your body produces a variety of different kinds of hormones. And one of these hormones that are being produced by your body is the Relaxin which is the one that causes the ligaments in your pelvis to soften to allow the baby to go through the pelvis and could be good during the time of birth.

On the other hand, one of the contributing factors of back pain during pregnancy is the changes that your body is undergoing through and it is the center of the gravity. Also, relaxing uterine ligaments causes additional pain in your spine and of course, overstretched abdominal muscles are also not equipped or were made to handle such additional weight on your belly causing your back to carry them.

They say, posture is also one of the culprits why pregnant women are having back pains during their pregnancy period that is why it is always best to practice proper good posture even if you are or are not pregnant as your body will totally adapt to the kind that you are used to. When that happens, improper posture will carry on when you get pregnant causing you to have more back pains.

Simple things you could do to avoid back pain during pregnancy is to reduce the amount of weight that you are used to carrying. If you are used to doing all the house chores, you may decrease the amount by asking help form someone in your house since fatigue and exhaustion may lead to back pains. Take time to rest, take time to lie down once in a while and you will see that it would do so much good not just for yourself but also for your baby.
