Oh, My Aching Arthritis Back Pain!

Have you ever groaned saying, ¡°Oh my aching back!¡± Well, you are not alone. Many people have back pain, which is a very common health problem in the United States today. Arthritis Back pain can occur at any age men, women, or children. If you injured your back, you may feel pain. You may or may not remember the injury, but your back will, and the pain is trying to tell you something. You might not want to seek help, but it is better to get help early, as you might save yourself later on of a more severe injury, or disability to your back.

Causes Of Back Pain

Arthritis is inflammation of the joints and is the most common ailment of Arthritis back pain.

Although anyone can have back pain, a number of reasons increase your risk and they include: Age, if you are physically fit, diet, heredity, race, your job, pregnancy, stress, not enough sleep, overweight, poor posture, and other diseases, like Arthritis can contribute to lower back pain.

The two most common forms of arthritis are Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis is caused by the break down of cartilage and over time joints may wear and tear entirely, and the bones will rub together causing swelling and pain. Osteoarthritis can affect any joint including your back (spine). Rheumatoid arthritis is the most serious type and if left untreated could cause your joints permanent deformation, or disability and change your normal lifestyle drastically.

Most arthritis back pain comes from sprains, strains caused by stressful movements or by injury. Most can be treated with simple medical treatments these muscle pulls will get better. Sometimes, back pain injury may be severe enough for surgery or other treatments that might be needed. Arthritis is a symptom of lower back pain and not a disease itself.

Arthritis Back pain can be uncomfortable, mild to severe pain. It can start very slow or sudden because of an injury. Back pain can last a short time, for weeks, months or even years.

When To Seek Medical Attention

Arthritis Back pain can be sudden, sharp, or dull. Pain may occur with movement, even sneezing or coughing. If your pain is severe and lasts more than a few weeks, then you should seek medical attention. The earlier your back pain can be diagnosed, the earlier you can take the necessary steps to help reduce your pain and to possible reduce a disability in the near future. Seek help if your pain interferes with your daily routine and activities, or if it immobilizes you.

It is important to treat your back pain properly. Seek medical attention if your arthritis back pain is constant and won¡¯t go away. Seek medical help if you are concerned with your back pain, as it should help you get a piece of mind and can get treated early for it.
